Le passage des vitesses par glissement fonctionne dans 99 % des cas, mais ce taux d'échec de 1 % lors d'un demi-tour en pleine circulation est source de panique.
L'avis de l'ingénieur : L'architecture système de Tesla est optimisée. La consommation d'énergie fantôme est quasi nulle comparée aux modèles 2024. Ils ont optimisé les cycles de veille des ordinateurs de bord avec une précision scientifique.
Rivian : Le conteur visuel

Conduire la Polestar 4, c'est comme conduire une tablette Google sur roues. L'expression peut paraître péjorative, mais pour une utilisation quotidienne, c'est tout simplement génial. La reconnaissance vocale (« Hey Google ») contrôle désormais les fonctions du véhicule de manière fiable. On peut lui demander de baisser la température de l'habitacle ou de vérifier la pression des pneus, et elle interprète la requête instantanément, sans cette hésitation robotique gênante que l'on subissait sur les anciens modèles.
Du point de vue du personnalisation, Android Automotive (AAOS) est le système le plus intéressant. Grâce à son noyau de type Linux basé sur Android, la communauté des adeptes du sideloading a trouvé des moyens d'exécuter des outils de diagnostic personnalisés directement sur l'écran d'infodivertissement. On observe ainsi les premières versions de « Torque Pro » fonctionnant nativement sur le tableau de bord, sans dongle OBDII Bluetooth, et récupérant les données directement depuis l'API.
Détail sensoriel : Les retours haptiques de l'écran de la Polestar sont précis : une sensation de « clic » mécanique net sous le doigt confirme les actions effectuées sans avoir à regarder l'écran.
Analyse approfondie : Systèmes de gestion de batterie (BMS)
C'est là que les choses se compliquent, ou plutôt, là où le code rencontre la chimie. Le meilleur logiciel ne se trouve pas sur l'écran central ; il est dissimulé dans les sous-contrôleurs.
Lors de mes tests, Tesla reste en tête en matière d'algorithmes prédictifs. J'ai conduit la Model 3 jusqu'à ce que sa batterie atteigne 0 %. Le logiciel a prédit avec précision le kilométrage exact avant l'arrêt du véhicule, gérant parfaitement la chute de tension pour optimiser l'autonomie.
À l'inverse, les plateformes plus anciennes (coucou GM Ultium !) sont encore trop prudentes. Leur logiciel panique lorsque la batterie atteint 10 %, réduisant inutilement la puissance pour protéger les cellules. En tant qu'ingénieur, je trouve cela condescendant. Donnez-moi la puissance ; laissez-moi gérer la dégradation. La version 2026 d'Ultium a progressé, mais le logiciel donne toujours l'impression d'avoir été conçu par un comité d'avocats plutôt que par des ingénieurs.
Les points rédhibitoires : ce qu’il faut surveiller

Freinage fantôme : Bien que meilleurs que les freinages brusques de 2023/2024, les systèmes de freinage basés uniquement sur la vision (comme celui de Tesla) sont toujours perturbés par les ombres sous les ponts. Le freinage est moins brutal et plus hésitant, mais suffisant pour renverser son café.

Anxiété liée aux mises à jour : Pendant la période de test, une mise à jour OTA corrompue a rendu le système d’infodivertissement de notre Ford Mach-E d’essai inutilisable pendant 6 heures. La voiture était en état de marche, mais il n'y avait ni compteur de vitesse, ni climatisation, ni radio. Dans une voiture électrique moderne, « en état de marche » sans écran est techniquement vrai, mais pratiquement illégal.

Impossible de parler de logiciels sans évoquer le Xiaomi SU7 et ses successeurs, qui commencent à arriver sur le marché européen. Leur écosystème « Humain x Voiture x Maison » est d'une efficacité redoutable. Vous pouvez contrôler l'éclairage connecté de votre maison depuis le centre de contrôle de votre voiture, sans latence. Bien que peu répandu en Amérique du Nord pour le moment, ce niveau d'intégration oblige les constructeurs automobiles occidentaux à repenser leurs véhicules. Si vous lisez ceci depuis un pays où le SU7 est disponible, il surpasse probablement Tesla en termes de personnalisation de l'interface utilisateur.
Le choix du meilleur logiciel pour voiture électrique de 2026 dépendra de vos priorités. Si vous souhaitez une voiture intelligente qui optimise chaque wattheure d'énergie, Tesla reste la référence en matière d'ingénierie. Son efficacité énergétique est inégalée. En revanche, si vous recherchez un véhicule vivant, esthétique et inspirant l'aventure, Rivian a su capter l'esprit du conducteur moderne.
